I'm Ready For It, Come On Bring It

You can download an iPod version of the music video for Snakes on a Plane (Bring It) by Cobra Starship over on Google video. Cobra Starship is fronted by Gabe Saporta of Midtown. Also contributing vocals are William Beckett of The Academy Is, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, and Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds, which makes for an excellent lineup indeed. I'm sure you'll also notice a cameo by Samuel L Mother Fuckin' Jackson himself and the scenesters will certainly not miss the appearance of Pete from Fall Out Boy.

In other SOAP soundtrack news, the album is being put out by Decaydance Records (run by Pete of Fall Out Boy, and an imprint of Fueled by Ramen Records). Congrats to Pete on that. Bands making an appearance of the record include: Panic! At the Disco, The Academy Is, Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes, Armor for Sleep, Jack's Mannequin, and Coheed and Cambria. The full tracklisting can be seen on wikipedia.

Cute Without the 'e' Cut From The Team

Taking Back Sunday was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and they performed Cute Without the 'e'. Mike recorded and encoded it, so here's an mpg of their performance . The new members of the band fit in really well and the crowd really got into it.

The Best of Me and You're So Last Summer

The Starting Line were on Jimmy Kimmel last night and performed The Best of Me. Their performance was excellent, though I was hoping they'd get to play 2 songs. I'm looking forward to seeing them October 4th at the Drive Thru Invasion Tour and their acoustic EP/DVD entitled Make Yourself at Home is due out around the end of November.

Taking Back Sunday will be on Kimmel tonight, and my guess is they'll be performing You're So Last Summer which they just shot a video for with Flava Flav. That song has one of my favorite lyrics in it: "The truth is you could slit my throat and with my one last gasphing breath I'd apologize for bleeding on your shirt." This will be their first TV appearance with the 2 new members of the band. If they play 2 songs, I would have to guess it would be Cute Without the 'e', Cut From the Team, which is a great song and the music video, which is based on Fight Club, is even cooler.

Update: The Starting Line's performance on Kimmel can be downloaded at Punk Rock Vids. Damn, that was fast.

What it is to Burn?

I'm going to the Finch concert tonight and as if I needed any more reason to be excited they releseased their video for What it is to Burn? yesterday. A very well done video for one of their best songs. Click here for the real video stream or here for the windows media stream.
